Giammarco is a bioengineer by training and an entrepreneur at heart; passionate about solving problems at the interface between technology and humans.
He received a BSc. from the Polytechnic University of Turin and a MSc. in Bioengineering from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
During the past 5 years, he has been part of several academic laboratories in Europe, developing cutting-edge technologies in the field of neuroprosthetics and implantable biosensors.
He has also worked in two global medical device companies, designing and implementing reliable processes for worldwide product manufacturing.
His experiences in different fields and working environments give him a good understanding of complex dynamics and allow him to analyze problems from multiple points of view.
The passion for entrepreneurship comes from his desire to have a real impact on people's lives and deploy technology to solve the most pressing issues society is facing, especially in healthcare.
At the moment, he is working with different organizations and startups on healthcare technology, need-driven innovation and venture capital.
