The IMAGINE IF! Programme is a business programme that is developed by the Innovation Forum. By applying to the IMAGINE IF! programme you agree with the terms listed below, by and to the individuals and organisations described.
An eligible IMAGINE IF! team is composed of between two and seven members that have together raised less than $300,000 USD (or the equivalent in local currency) in dilutive funding for the project or company that is submitted to the IMAGINE IF! accelerator.
An eligible project or company should also have a strong scientific/technological backbone and should focus on health or healthcare.
We define those as “life sciences and healthtech ventures”, which means any business that is based on scientific discoveries, use technology and/or data to create products or services that aim to improve human or animal healthcare and wellbeing.
Non-registered teams, including those that register after the advertised deadlines, and those who do not meet the above eligibility are not able to be a part of the IMAGINE IF! events or awards process.
If you choose to withdraw your application during the programme, you and your team members will no longer be eligible to participate in any portion of the competition.
Innovation Forum retains the right to refuse eligibility.
All applications to the IMAGINE IF! programme will be submitted and assessed through the online registration platform.
To register for IMAGINE IF!, a team is asked to provide the following type of information: first and last name(s) of all team members participating, email addresses, geographic location, academic or industry affiliation, non-confidential summaries of the idea (e.g. technology readiness, target problem, market analysis, IP) and a short video presenting the founding team as well as the company vision.
We will respect your privacy by not collecting personal information about you that is not voluntarily provided or required to process your application.
By entering the competition you authorise Innovation Forum to use the information that you provide to us for marketing and competition purposes.
We may collect non-personally identifiable information to help us improve the Innovation Forum website and evaluate the use of Innovation Forum and IMAGINE IF! Materials.
Innovation Forum retains the right to, at any time and notwithstanding prior written or oral understanding, grant, suspend, deny or withdraw the competition award(s) from any applicant.
Innovation Forum has the right to withdraw any of the prizes offered if any of the sponsors of the Innovation Forum or IMAGINE IF! withdraw their support.
Teams are under no obligation at any point during the IMAGINE IF! Programme to divulge confidential information concerning their idea or company.
IMAGINE IF! applicants retain all IP rights concerning their proposed idea, pending other agreements entered into voluntarily and outside the IMAGINE IF! programme.
Innovation Forum will put the appropriate mechanisms in place to restrict access to confidential information unless where it is explicitly agreed by the owner of the IP, however, we bear no responsibility and offer no guarantees about protecting proprietary or confidential information provided by the applicants. This is a standard feature of many business idea competitions.
All applicants agree to allow Innovation Forum to use the following aspects of their application for marketing purposes: Team Name, Team Description, Logo, Website and Non-confidential Tagline.
Upon progression to the global pool stage, we retain the right to ask for an official statement from the organisation holding rights to IP connected with your idea confirming the status of your IP. You will not be asked to provide any confidential information.
As you send your content to the Innovation Forum website via our registration page you license and give your consent to any and all users of the IMAGINE IF! website, including without limitation Innovation Forum, to copy, reproduce, display and distribute works of your content.
You are free to copy, distribute, and display Innovation Forum content only under the following conditions:
>Usage is Non-commercial. Non-commercial use means that users may not sell, profit from, or commercialise Innovation Forum or IMAGINE IF! materials or works derived from them.
>Usage is attributed. You must attribute the work to the appropriate user or team and to its origination from the IMAGINE IF! website and include a link to the website.
