Dr Verena Hehle

Dr Verena Hehle, part of the Innovation Forum Executive team since January 2020, has over 11 years’ experience in a multidisciplinary context of therapeutic antibody discovery, molecular biology (human & plants) and infectious diseases with a good understanding of the pharmaceutical and
biotechnology industry. Verena obtained a PhD from St George’s University in London, investigating the enzymatic degradation of antibodies expressed in tobacco plants and did a postdoc at the Institut Pasteur, developing therapeutic antibodies against Hepatitis B. During these times she engaged in pro-bono activities for the British Science association, Pint of Science Paris and Hello Tomorrow. Verena is currently based in the Netherlands Utrecht at Biotechnology company called Merus N.V., developing Bispecific antibodies for oncology treatments.
