Malak Kawan
Malak is a Ph.D. student in Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Cambridge working on developing implantable devices for the brain and spinal cord. Her research is at the interface between Neuroscience and engineering with interests in bioelectronics and biomaterials. The aim is to translate these developed technologies into clinics.
Prior to this, she received her B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Delaware in the U.S. She also earned her Masters from KAUST, Saudi Arabia in bioengineering. Malak is an enthusiastic science communicator where she participated in many entrepreneurial events.
She joined the Innovation Forum to get experience from entrepreneurs and exposure to the industry as well as contribute to the commercialization of the cutting edge technologies and startups.
