Daniel Moreno Martínez is a healthcare innovation leader with experience across research translation, entrepreneurship, strategic programme design and international ecosystem building.

He leads innovation strategy at Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital in Catalonia, where his work focuses on helping healthcare professionals turn promising ideas into practical, scalable solutions. His role includes developing innovation frameworks, supporting internal project development and helping external entrepreneurs understand how new technologies can be adopted within healthcare systems.

Daniel has worked across Spain and the United Kingdom, with a background in cardiovascular science, academic research and innovation management. He holds a PhD from Manchester Metropolitan University, where he previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

He has also contributed to university teaching and supervision in areas including innovation strategy, change management and entrepreneurship. His wider work includes advising startups, supporting accelerator programmes and helping build stronger links between healthcare systems, researchers, entrepreneurs and investors.

Daniel has a long-standing relationship with Global Innovation Forum, having co-founded the Manchester branch and supported the organisation’s marketing, communications and operations during its growth. His work reflects a clear commitment to building sustainable innovation ecosystems that help scientific ideas move from research into real-world impact.
