Marios Poullas
Director of Global Operations
Marios Poullas is a doctoral researcher in Epidemiology, Nutrition and Biostatistics in the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, exploring more comprehensively the associations of diverse indices of climate and ecology with patterns of variability in human phenotype. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry with Genetics from Lancaster University and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Research from Imperial College London. His professional experience lies in both academia and industry and he has previously held leadership positions, serving amongst others as the Chairman of his school’s executive committee in 2009 and as a Second Lieutenant during his military service (2009-2011). Marios is particularly interested in the intersection of business and science and the impact of research in practice. He joined Innovation Forum in May 2017 as Management Associate and in July 2017 he took over the presidency of the UCL branch. In October 2017, he joined the Global Executive Team with the role of the IMAGINE IF! Global Coordinator and was promoted to the Director of Global Operations position in December 2017, after the end of the IMAGINE IF! Global Accelerator 2017.
