Dr Danuta Jeziorska

co-founder and Senior Advisor of Oxford branch of Innovation Forum

Dr Danuta Mariola Jeziorska

Danuta is a Senior Postdoctoral Scientist at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on understanding how genes are turned on and off during red blood cell formation, with a particular interest on two aspects of this process: the role of DNA methylation and the dynamics of transcription at the single cell level.

Before moving to Oxford, Danuta completed her PhD in Systems Biology from the University of Warwick and obtained a BSc degree in Biotechnology from the University of Silesia in Poland.

Danuta co-founded the Oxford branch of Innovation Forum to combine her passion for science with her strong interest in business and innovation. She has had the pleasure of leading the team for the last two years with an aim to inspire and educate the next generation of science-entrepreneurs and to accelerate innovation by connecting academics with industry experts, the NHS, policy makers and investors. Currently, she is supporting the team in the capacity of a senior advisor.
